[After hiding out for his first week, Ritsuka has finally become restless. Curiosity getting the better of him he decides to take his new body out for a test drive. The first half of his day he spent indoors for obvious reasons, a good part of it is spent in the library looking for a book on vampires. He gets one named "Vampire Myths and legends"

Though what exactly the boy was doing he had no clue whatsoever, but whatever he was doing it made him look stupid. Coughing slightly he tried to get the boys attention.]
What are you trying to do?

A-ah, hi! Me? Oh... I'm....
[He manages to catch his balance and whips around to face his audience.]
Testing a theory... [Yes... that sounded far less humiliating.]

[He had an idea of which one, but he wasn't going to say otherwise.

...I was... seeing if I can turn into a bat... [He realizes how dumb it sounds the moment the words left his lips and quickly turns away from the man before the embarrassed look could fully form on his face.]

There are reasons to return to his room, however. The stack of poorly folded dress shirts he rescued from Meirin's washing job is one of them. They need to be pressed and his room is where he's left the iron. The thought of a servant of Phantomhive wearing a wrinkled shirt is downright appalling. That's what his mind is on as he enters his room - he doesn't even bother to lock it, as there's nothing of value in there.
The room is simple enough, a replica of his servant's quarters at Phantomhive Manor; wooden floor, pristine bed, a wardrobe in one corner and a desk in another.
And now the world's tallest house cat stands in it.
He nearly drops the shirts onto the floor.]

Finally...
[He clutches his book a little tighter then gently opens it.]
Hello?
[He says to at least sound polite if someone was there, but he still steps into the room. If they were doing something important they would of locked it, right?]
Oh! S-sorry, I thought it was empty.
[Or at least he had hoped. It only made matters worse when he realizes he knew this face. It was the kindly man from the blackberries! Well now he felt even worse for being so rude.]
A-ah, Michaelis-san... [His ears press against his head nervously and his tail twitches behind him.]

Oh. It's talking to him.]
Mr. Aoyagi. You did give me a startle. [Head tilt.] Is there something you needed?
[He moves swiftly past the boy to set down the pile of shirts, taking his eyes off Ritsuka's most desirable features with reluctance.]

[He says with a sheepish look. The more he told people what he was doing the dumber it all sounded.]
You're not a vampire to are you?
[Said tail accidentally batting the man when he moves past.]

Tch... one more go...
[He looks around to make sure he's alone, then climbs onto a nearby bench. Think bat! He hops off and lands on his feet in a completely boring and un-bat-like manner... Darn.]

Hm... I should ask first... [He stood by the doorway and thinks. Just a quick touch and run or find the owner? The later sounded like a lot of work for something that could be so quick. He takes a hesitant step forward.]
No... [He would hate for someone to touch his things while he was away. He turns to take a look at the name plate on the door instead.]

You okay there, kid?

Mello-san? Y-yes, I'm okay! [He says looking slightly sheepish at being caught almost going into his room.]
Is this your room?

E-eh? Oh, sorry! I wasn't look-
[Looks down at the sword he had his hand on. W-wow, it was just a bump! Takes a cautious step back.]

Ah, I'm afraid I was not looking where I was going as well, My apologies.
[He bows humbly.]

It's alright. No harm done... [Still eying the sword he takes notice of the little cross. He was tempted to ask, but a moment ago the man looked determined to get somewhere and not to mention a little menacing.]
Uh, you're not going to cause trouble with that are you...?
[His tail twitches nervous.]
