[All week so far Kuja's been followed around by the ghost of his creator Garland, who he just so happened to kill. All the while that he's been there all the Genome has heard is the constant speech that he was no good, just a pilot creation to give him an idea of what to aim for. [Dende caught sight of what he perceived as a rather sad looking human sitting on the patio thing. Hoping to maybe try and cheer him up Dende takes a seat next to him]

Are you okay?

[Kuja just lets out a low snort. Each to their own.]

I would beg to differ. No one is kind, it's a farce to get what they want, or they're plain stupid. It's simply because they know that putting on the thoughtful front is the quick way to get others to like you, thus earning you allies.

Never let yourself rely on others, they shall only toss you aside when they've bled you dry.

[He gets to his feet, the air thick with bitterness.]

[Dende looks up at Kuja sadly, he understands how someone could feel like that. The universe was not always a nice place.]

Well you seem like a good person Mr. Kuja.

[He offers Kuja a warm smile.]

[He doesn't understand people like Dende, yes he had the naivety of a child but even so. He looks down at the little Namekian and snarls, his tail fuzzing out vaguely resembling a bottlebrush.]

I'm not. By any stretch of the imagination. My sole purpose in life is to destroy and rule the tattred remnants.

Always be aware of others' intentions or you'll be lulled into a false sense of security.

[Dende giggled. I think this kid LIVES in the false sense of security. He doesn't need any help]

If you're so bad then why haven't you destroyed anything yet? You've been very nice to me!

[I see that XD. Kuja just lets out a sort of huff.]

I have had my magic taken from me. That and you haven't done anything that warrants hostility.

Even so, do not get comfortable with my company.

[Dende speaks very matter-of-factly. Apparently he is the authority on bad guys.]

Well I think you're nice Mr. Kuja! I've seen a lot of bad people and you're not like any of them! And I really like talking with you!

[Kuja raises his brows and rolls his eyes.]

Then you're a fool. I happen to have a great distaste for foolish little brats.

[Dende giggles]

Well you may not like me, but at least you're not sad anymore!

[The Genome's tail becomes visible under his robe, swishing in an aggressive manner.]

How is making me irate any better than being melancholic?

[Dende flops onto his back, still very pleased with himself.]

Because being mad doesn't hurt like being sad does. It's easier to get over anger too.

[Kuja frowns and the urge to smack the child was becoming all too appealing.]

That doesn't mean that I want to be so.

[Dende sits back up and looks at Kuja very, very confused]

So you would rather still be sad Mr. Kuja?
