It was lucky that Keiichi was young and light. It had been easy to knock him out in his compromised state, still woozy from his blood loss and physically exhausted after his struggle against Black Jack and Mello. After knocking Keiichi out Mello called Matt who helped to wrap the young man in a thick down blanket and secure it with a brown leather belt. Mello took a pair of socks from Keiichi's drawer and shoved them into his mouth to stop him from biting his tongue off, topped with a cross of electrical tape over his lips.

While Mello propped Keiichi up he had Matt locate L's blackberry. "Got him?"

"Got it."

It didn't take Matt long to pinpoint the location. But when he looked at the bound and gagged form of Keiichi, he almost wished he'd taken longer. No matter how light he was, they were still gonna have to carry him.

"Fucker looks like a big cigarette."

The redhead smirked as he moved to shoulder his share of the guy's weight. Matt pointed a gloved finger in the direction that they would find their mentor. He'd just leave the 'knocking' part of the delivery up to Mello.

"Let's keep him unlit," Mello smirked. "Labs?" and when Matt nodded, Mello heaved Keiichi up, carrying him like a rather uncomfortable bride. "Jesus, heavier than he looks." But he knew Matt was just glad he wasn't the one bearing the weight. The trip to the basement was difficult as the blanket kept slipping.

Mello managed to knock on the door with his elbow. "L, I've got something for you."

L glanced up briefly from his work, frowning. "Come in."
