Summary: Benji and Joel talk about their relationship, both as brothers and as lovers
"Penny for them," Benji couldn't help but smile as Joel jumped. His brother had been staring off into space, a magazine in his hands, but his attention obviously elsewhere.
"Hey," Joel stood, arms wrapping around Benji's waist as he greeted him with a hard passionate kiss. A kiss that soon turned slow and needy. They broke apart, lips slightly swollen, eyes alight with fire.
"Wow," was all the reply Benji could manage as they curled up on the couch. "What brought that on? Not that I'm complaining, mind you..."
"I was thinking." Joel replied, shifting slightly so he could look at Benji. "About us."
"Oh?" Benji stiffened slightly and he scooted along the couch, leaning back to look ar Joel
Joel blushed and looked at the floor. "Do you remember that time when we were 15..." Joel trailed off.
Benji laughed and relaxed, wrapped his arms around Joel and finished the sentence. "And Mom walked in on us kissing." The twins looked at each other and smiled. "You had the biggest crush on..." He frowned. "I don't even remember her name."
"Paula," Joel supplied, "I wanted to ask her to the dance but didn't know how to kiss. And I made the mistake of pouring out my heart to my 'big' brother. Who, in all his dating wisdom, decided to give me lessons. It took us all afternoon to convince Mom we were telling her the truth."
"At least she didn't go and get Dad," Joel pointed out.
"I still don't think it's as bad as the time I walked in on you jacking off over a copy of one of Sarah's magazines." Joel's blush deepened further, his face turning crimson as he pulled away from Benji. Benji leaned forward and kissed him gently. "Aww I'm sorry, Joel. I didn't mean to embarrass you."
"I'm not sure what was worse," Joel eventually spoke up. "The fact you caught me jerking off over the centrefold, or that you didn't think I was doing a good enough job of it!"
"You couldn't have been." Benji took a deep breath, knowing what he was going to say would embarrass Joel even further. "The second I wrapped my hand around your cock, you turned diamond hard and started spurting all over the place. Nearly ruining my favourite jeans in the process."
Joel pulled away again, standing and walking across the room, pacing its length, stopping by the window watching the traffic down on the street . "I think I was already in love with you," he confessed quietly, refusing to look at Benji. "Or, if not love, it was definitely lust and I was well on the way to being in love with you."
Benji was stunned. He ran his hands over his face, trying to work out what to say. "Oh…"
"I shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry, I just... Just forget I said it, OK?" Joel spun on his heels and started to move towards the door, but Benji jumped up, and pulled him around.
"Joel, don't leave. Please?" Pulling his brother into a tight embrace, Benji continued. "You just surprised me, that's all. I... I never had any idea." Benji held Joel silently, his twin was trembling slightly, and he didn't want to look at him and see the tears. "Why did it take you another three years and getting yourself shit-faced at our 19th birthday to tell me?"
Furiously wiping away his tears with the back of his hand, Joel replied in a quiet voice. "I'm gay - and it had been common knowledge for a while. You, on the other hand, weren't, and were quite happily dating girl after girl after girl." He stopped, looking up at Benji when he laughed. "What?"
"I wasn't, Joel. I've been gay as long as I can remember, but I didn't think Mom and Dad could handle both of us being gay, so I pretended."
Joel's eyes narrowed. "You pretended?"
Benji nodded guiltily. "Yes, I did. It hurt too much not to. I... had fallen for someone I shouldn't have, and it was the only way I could think of to get out of it." He looked at Joel's confused expression. "You, Joel," his voice softened, "I'd fallen for you and didn't know what to do. Why else do you think I... uhmm... helped you jack off that
day. A damn good reason to touch you." He smiled wryly.
"You..." Joel licked his lips, his mouth feeling very dry all of a sudden. "You'd fallen for me? Why didn't you say something?"
"Why didn't you?" Benji countered.
A thoughtful look crossed Joel's face. "I told you; I thought you were straight. Add to that the fact you're my twin brother. Not exactly the easiest love confession to make. I... We'd always been real close and I didn't want to risk losing you."
Benji nodded in agreement. "So what happened at the party then?"
"It... I guess it just got to the stage where I couldn't keep it in any longer. It hurt too much."
"So you drunk as much as possible, staggered into my room, stumbled onto my bed, proclaimed your undying love, then promptly passed out." Benji remembered.
Despite his discomfort Joel had to laugh at the bluntness of his brother's statement. "Not exactly romantic, was it? But, I think I'll always remember waking up in your arms."
It was Benji's time to blush before he dipped his head and caught Joel's lips in a kiss. "We could always recreate that morning," he offered. "Only this time with a night of wild sex, rather than a heavy drinking session..."
Joel pretended to think about it. He grabbed Benji's hands and pulled him into the bedroom. "Sounds good," he agreed.
