One of the weirdest things when you start a new job is deciding who you're going to be there, how much of you you're going to let fly. I'm so used to not being 'got', being surrounded by people who haven't even heard of the shows I watch/music I listen to etc let alone watch them. People who think Love Island is a real TV show. I hadn't realised how much not being around people with similar interests was having an effect on me until now. There's nothing worse than being stuck with dull people at work, especially considering how much time you spend with them. I'm sorry :(

Yes, lucky you - I'm the only geek in our office. Everyone is nice about it, but also no one notices when I wear Sailor Moon earrings or my Marauder's Map dress.

When we have dress down days on a Friday, half the morning is spent discussing the various geeky fandom shirts that K and I have... between us, we seem to have a limitless supply!
