My toes are cold and I don't know where my slippers are. I have to keep going into the kitchen, which has tile floor, so it's just making my poor toes even colder. Woe is me

Enjoy your break! Yeah it should be pretty crazy out. I'm heading out to pick up food for the rest of the weekend and probably Monday as well and I'm like ehhhhhhhh because it's going to be nuts out.

I tend to spend Xmas travelling. Sometimes by myself, sometimes with friends. I'm no stranger to spending Xmas day at various airports and they tend to be less busy than the other days surrounding Xmas. Fares tend to be slightly cheaper on actual Xmas day as well than the days surrounding it.

OTOH, we've never celebrated Xmas in our family. We aren't Christians and Chinese New Year tend to be the bigger deal.

Taking some time for yourself seems like a pretty good thing to do, really. There were a few years here and there where I didn't go anywhere and my plan was basically just stay home by myself and just chill and decompress.

I found I thoroughly enjoyed a day of eating too much food and watching pretty on my TV. I got a little lonely towards the afternoon and this morning but I'm perking up again. I'll have to remember that if I'm on my tod next year and go for a walk or something in the afternoon.
