I'm pretty sure I was always going to be a geek.

My mum used to tell me how when I was about 2 or 3, the only way she could get peace and quiet to get anything done around the house was to sit my in my high-chair in front of the TV when Dukes Of Hazzard was on. Some of didn't have the chance not to be geeks-- my dad had me watching Doctor Who and Blake's 7 at three days old. I was (am) into pretty much everything you've mentioned. In elementary school, I did my homework during reruns of The A-Team and the X-Men cartoon. I was allowed to stay up special to watch Star Trek Voyager (which was on past my bedtime). The first proper "grown up" book I read was Star Trek: The Lost Years, in about sixth grade.

I was doomed to be a geek pretty much from the start :)

I love Hammer horros! Well, any old horror movie, really. I got hooked when I was eleven and Swedish television aired a whole row of the classics from the 30's like The Mummy, Frankenstein and Dracula. :) And especially the ones with vampires.

I wrote fanfics in my teens too without knowing what it was. LOTR fics with lots and lots of MArye Sue's with silver hair and eyes that changed colours...
