I won a fight with my depression yesterday. I had tickets to see Ward Thomas & Dexeter playing at the Institute in Birmingham but started freaking out about going on my own; that I would look like some kind of pathetic loser with no friends going to a gig on my own

Good on you! It really is terribly hard sometimes. I hate doing new things on my own - it's so hard! Yay you!

That's terrific! I find it daunting to go anywhere like that on my own, even movies by myself can be a bit difficult. Good for you for just getting out there and doing it.
