Nope, the next line in the book is "I'm six feet tall, which was fairly impressive in the 1780s when I was a young mortal man" Lestat is six feet... Tom Cruise is, what? two foot nothing?

Love that book! And in a way, I can imagine Lestat saying that he's 6ft, even if he's not.

I've never been really convinced of any of the film's characters matching those in my head though.
