No matter how many times, again and again. You all could die again and again and never learn anything from it. You could kill again and again and not realize how pointless your sin is.

How many more games do we have to play with Mayfield for this simple rules of this place to sink in?

Are they all kitties? It's kind of hard to call them humans when they're doing things like this.

Whether they are "mewing" or "speaking" or even "barking", what they are doing is wrong...

You should teach them a lesson.

There is very little a small girl like myself can hope to do in this matter...

Rena is okay... [Her definitions of okay might be a bit looser than most, but her injuries were nothing that the clinic couldn't handle, and well... she didn't die! That's good, right? She sounds exhausted though, like it were almost too much effort to respond.]

How is Rika? The kittens didn't scratch you, did they?

No, they did not...

Rena sounds quite tired. Have you been working hard on something?

That's good--some of the kittens were really naughty.

[How to put it...]

Rena had to clean up a big pile of dirt, and the shovel got dirty. Shovels can't stay dirty so Rena had to clean that too...

Dirt? Why did Rena have to do that?

What's there to learn? Who said anyone was doing this for a learning experience?

Whether you set out to learn or not, you will learn from everything, will you not? What matters is how well you retain the lesson.

Maybe. But what I'm posing to you is if learning here would've mattered. I knew I probably wouldn't have gotten what I really wanted out of this. But I did it to avoid the possibility of out and out punishment, instead.

I have certainly learned things worth remembering while here. However, lessons we learn in Mayfield are best not applied elsewhere. I would not want to live in a place where the logic of Mayfield applies.

In that regard, you may have a point.

I did not get a letter either... I am certainly glad you here you are safe as well. I hope it should stay that way.

... I am sure that such an attitude is the very best! I would like to believe that as well!

The inhabitants of this place seem to have a very short memory.

Or perhaps a mere inability to learn. Games can last forever when no one knows how to win.
