How can you not get a credit card? I got one, and I put an income of $0. I'm sure you get junk mail at home (i.e. your parents') stating you've been preapproved. Go with one of those because they *will* give you one.

agreed...just make sure that you NEVER pay just the minimum monthly payment. Pay it off as quickly as you can.

This has 3 benifits..
1. save money - the interest rates on those types of cards are a bitch.
2. paying that off will help your credit rating, so that soon you will be able to get a proper card.

Try a student card through Citibank or Chase. They take into consideration that you are a poor broke starving college student. That is how I got my first credit card. You don't have to have any previous credit and don't have to have a co-signer. :) You might try that! :) Good luck!

Just so you know..it is easier to get a credit card than to finance something...trust me I have tried....
