It is already apparent just how much of a pain this wedding is going to be. At least dad is wiling to consider my top reception venue, but then he hasn't seen the price yet. If only mom weren't so keen on having it in the middle of the summer, prices for everything drop in the off-season.

Unfortunately they are footing most of the bill, and mom wants mid-summer because that's when most people can come and she's determined to share it with everyone on the planet. They keep insisting it's "Our" wedding, as in my parents and mine and Thomas'. I like how his family gets left out of this equation.
