A girl named Bianca Tito made this statement on Facebook regarding Oliver and Felicity from Arrow and it's just so SPOT ON that I thought I'd do a fangirl post to illustrate this aspect of my own personality ( Read more... )

Ah God. Every time I think I'm over DE I'll stumble across a picture like the one in this entry and my icon and I'll be transfixed by it for like a solid fifteen minutes. They're just so pretty, why are they so pretty? They just ~~look~~ like they're meant to be together. Nina and Ian do things to me. ~Weeping forever~

Here's my version of that icon...crowandfog made it for me :D It so perfectly represents Damon's worshipful attitude towards his lady.

But yes, I was starting to think I might be normal about them and then I saw the trailer for S6...and I was CRYING watching it. Because DE SLAY ME, 4VR.

I just started watching Arrow in the summer and was hooked. I find Laurel boring and do not want that pairing. Olicity all the way!

Overall, I was disappointed with last season's VD. I agree, they have smoking chemistry no matter what. I'm not one to ship real life couples, but I still love the thought of them together!

I liked Laurel at first, because I love tortured history love story stuff. And I love Laurel as a character all on her own, I particularly loved her storyline in S2, and Katie Cassidy's commitment to her arc, because girlfriend got scary skinny. But as the show progressed, it seemed unfair to both her and Ollie to put them back together. I liked the idea that both of them tried, that they somehow thought those leftover feelings were enough to build something solid on, but even more than that, I loved that the writers showed us it wasn't, and that they still love each other, but it's changed into something else. It still gives value to their history without sacrificing how they've grown and changed since they were kids together. I actually find their whole un-coupling really beautiful.

And of course, in comparison, Laurel just cannot compare to Felicity, and that's as it should be. Oliver is a new man, and he should be with a woman who understands who he is now, not who he was, which was a giant douchey commitment-phobe, so who would ( ... )
