The relationship depicted in this short-lived television show is the fantasy life of many a teenaged girl. Winnie Holzman, the writer of this show, even says somewhere (I swear I remember seeing an interview where she says it) that this was basically her writing her own 15-year-old fantasy. And that's why this is the OTP I relate to the most, because in high school, this WAS my fantasy, and if I could have ever made it happen, I'm sure I would have. Of course, in this show Jordan wasn't just a sex-seeking emotionally retarded 18 year old boy. He was that, but he was more than that, and the way he felt about Angela did seem to bring out things in him that made him the PERFECT fantasy.
I mean, if I'd known what fanfic was in 1994, I would have written this show exactly the way it was written. Because it was PERFECTION.
This video shows Jordan realizing he's in love with Angela, but Brian is his voice here, as well as in other places in the series, because Brian is also in love with her.
