But really, the Kalinda of it is all is just beautiful. More often than not, I'm used to seeing this relationship from Cary's gaze, because Kalinda is inherently unknowable to me, as she is to him. But here, I can see that this is how she'd think. How clear sighted she is about herself and everyone around her. And I love that, by the end of it, Kalinda is just as much a mystery as she ever was, because her formative experiences are still a shadow-region.
But then Cary seems to be having growing pains, too, and why the hell not?
I love this, because I like the idea that in some ways Will and Kalinda are the same and I LOVE their friendship, so the idea that they're hive-mind even when they don't talk is very right to me.
He wouldn't love her, not if he knew all of it. And he can't love her, not really, when he doesn't know all of it.
Oh. I LOVE that Kalinda explores Cary's attraction to her so clear-sightedly; there's an element of cynicism, but she understands that he thinks she's exotic and mysterious and he's so ( ... )
