Oh dear God!
I dont even know how I feel about this. I dont know how I feel about Damon not being... you know, OUR Damon, and... AAAHHH I dont know anything else than the fact that you're so freaking brilliant.

I'm definitely going to read this when you're done with it, but I'm already scared of what I might feel and think and if I'll like the ending or not. So many worries, huh? lol

You see, I take fanfiction more seriously than I should, but it does affect me a lot.
So what I'm hoping is that Damon is going to end up being our Damon again in the end. One way or the other.

Excited about this :D

Well, two things: 1) how many sad ending Damon/Elena stories have I written? Think about it. You can trust me. And 2) NOBODY TAKES FANFICTION MORE SERIOUSLY THAN I DO. ;-) We'll be okay, me and you!

That's such an interesting idea! Human Damon is always fun. Can't wait for more.
Also, if it's going to be a full story, I recommend you to post it on FanFiction so more people could enjoy your writing :)

I'm so excited to read this. Is this the story you were planning to write last summer and decided against due to the fact that you didn't think it followed canon? I was disappointed you didn't write it last year and I'm so happy you are writing it now! It's an intriguing plot that I'm sure you'll make a great story with, just as you always do. And the good news is that since it's a "big bang" one, it will hopefully be nice and long! Look forward to reading whatever you give us along the way to June!!! Please add me to the filter.

Last year, my idea was more about human!Damon with human!Elena and both of them realizing that vampire!Damon was who they both liked better; this is sort of tweaked beyond that, of course, since Elena is now a vampire. It took me a while to wrap my mind around that change to her, and to find a way to plot a story with that as the canon part. So now, the theme is more about does Elena love Damon however and whoever his is, like he loved her? And if she had the power to change him, would she? So it's not the same story at all that I would have written last year, because I needed all the current canon to really get this idea to take root in my brain, if that makes any sense.

This is tremendously intriguing and beared of great heartbreak to come. I cannot wait to read more.

Best things:

Elena getting drunk and having conversations with gravestones! (and bitching about wrong dates)

Damon being all happy at the mention of his brother (and OMG I know this is about Elena and Damon but I cannot imagine Stefan "You're not leaving me alone" Salvatore having to deal with a mortal Damon...)

Oh, I loved Elena pulling a "Damon" there at the headstone unknowingly. Just a little illustration of how alike they actually are :D

There will be some Stefan/Damon stuff, but it will all be from Elena's POV. No matter what, I think it will be interesting to explore, just how they ALL deal with this situation.

Definitely. After all, it's the reason this particular triangle works so well: it's not just about Damon loving Elena and Stefan loving Elena too, it's also a lot about Damon and Stefan loving each other.

Just in case, I formally ask to be added to the filter :)
