Elena then has to work with Damon to free his ass ;p

Damon tells Elena to stay out of it

She doesn't listen and Damon saves her

I was being sarcastic (though obviously not very well)--and quoting one of my favorite movies, Serenity. I just love her attitude with him in that scene because she's still upset about their earlier confrontation.
