I love Howl. It's so obsessive violent and dark it just SCREAMS Damon.
If you could only see the beast you've made of me I held it in but now it seems you've set it running free Screaming in the dark, I howl when we're apart drag my teeth across your chest to taste your beating heart
My fingers claw your skin, try to tear my way in You are the moon that breaks the night for which I have to howl My fingers claw your skin, try to tear my way in You are the moon that breaks the night for which I have to
Okay, so I've spent some time thinking of what songs I associate with Damon and Elena and I've come up with a couple. Oh, and I will read your latest story tonight and comment! I'm so far behind on stuff. So, here are a couple suggestions along with a few lines from the song and links.
I am in love with a song by The Pigott Brothers. They are a Canadian band, and one of the brothers was on this show that I watch called Being Erica. Anyway, the song is Alien Like You. Love love love the song!
So let the stars align/ And let the water make wine 'cause/ Broken souls will become whole tonight, oh tonight/ We know it's right so
This is a kind of angsty one and kind of more Damon, but I love it anyway. It's My Skin by Natalie Merchant.
I need/ The darkness/ The sweetness/ The sadness/ The weakness/ Oh, I need this/ I need lullaby/ A kiss goodnight/ Angel sweet, love of my life/ Oh, I need this
White Blank Page by Mumford & Sons has to be like my favorite song in the world right now. Somehow that entire album has ended up in my Top
( ... )
OMG, I totally went to ITunes to download that Alien Like You song. That's awesome. I really like it. I have Mumford & Sons, and Maroon 5, of course, Adam Levine! *fans self* Love them.
The Merchant song was a little different, I don't know it if worked for me, but the rest of them are really great. I really appreciate the Ryan Adams cover of that song, because everyone always talks about it being one of the greatest rock songs of all time, and I hate the Oasis version. So this makes it much more listenable. I've always liked the lyrics, but the original version grates on my ears. (Hopefully that confession doesn't make you want to defriend me! :-/)
Defriended! I can no longer associate myself with you!
Haha...I would never defriend you, especially over music. I personally prefer the Ryan Adams version for my more casual listening, cause it's calming.
I'm glad you liked that Alien Like You song. You'd think from the title that it might not really be good, but it's just so good and touching. I love it!
Adam Levine! I have loved that man since the summer before my freshman year of high school. He is so pretty. He might be a complete manwhore, but I still love him.
I was stalking your journal for fic and came across this post, so I'm leaving you songs:
"Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane "I Never Told You" by Colbie Caillat "Give In To Me" by Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester "Hey Ya" by Obadiah Parker (yes, it's a cover of the Outkast song; no, I cannot explain it) "Makes Me Wanna Die" by The Pretty Reckless "City Of Devils" by Yellowcard "You'll Ask For Me" by Tyler Hilton "In Your Eyes" by Sara Bareilles (not the Peter Gabriel version)
