30 Days of OTP: Day Nine, Best Kiss (Kissers) OTP
Kate & Sawyer, LOST
*sigh* These two fit into a lot of categories for me, but I decided to give this one to them because their first kiss happens when they are just "Kate" and "Sawyer" -- before we really know anything about them, before they know anything about each other. They are intimate in a way that shouldn't be so comfortable, and it eventually leads to more intimacies, but always with walls between them, right until their last kiss (or at least the last kiss we see onscreen between them). I've always just felt like with Kate and Sawyer, they were so much alike that they recognized each other on a cellular level, right from the beginning.
And besides, they are so pretty together, right?
Their story is still, to me, the main love story from LOST, though I did eventually get onboard with other ships (stay tuned!), but their chemistry was the best for me, and the sacrifices that Sawyer makes for Kate, and in particular what leads to their first sex together (see clip below), has always been so romantic to me. It's my all time favorite episode of the show (3x06 "I Do"), ever. And despite everything that happened between them, and the other loves they had, I've always maintained that when Kate and Sawyer get off the Island in the final episode of the series, they spend their mortal lives together, and for me it's enough to know that they shared many other kisses. :-)
