The Official TVD Rewatch Schedule
Our first viewing party will be next Monday, May 23rd @ 7pm PDT!

Okay, so I planned for 16 weeks of rewatching to give us our much-needed TVD fix over the duration of the summer hiatus, but the poll for S2 left me with a tie between two episodes that I didn't want us to choose between. So I made an executive decision--it's going to be 17 weeks long! I'm not sure when the S3 premiere will be anyway, but it seems like The CW has late starts, like the third week of September or so, so hopefully we'll be done with the rewatch before the new season starts. We can always reassess later as more information comes available.
Also, the rewatch itself is going to be every Monday @ 7pm PDT. Here is the time zone converter to figure out what time that is for you if necessary. Because I'm in the U.S., we tend to have holidays on Mondays--and it turns out that this summer there are three such Mondays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day). On those days I have alternative options for viewing on Thursday @ 7pm if for some reason I'm out of town/busy celebrating and can't do the rewatch. If at all possible I'll try to stick to the Monday schedule, but if I start a rewatch and nobody shows because of the holiday, or if I can't start it for whatever reason, just know we'll try again on the Thursday of that week. If for any reason we can't get it together, whatever episode scheduled for that week will have to be skipped.
Lastly, it is important that you come prepared--links and whatnot WILL NOT be provided. You must arrive on scene with your own copy of the episode, because I won't be giving you it, and there won't be links available.

Additionally, I thought I might pimp this out on various comms, but I have decided NOT to do that myself. You are welcome to invite/promote/link people to this post, whatever you would like to do to spread the word. The most important aspect to me, and I'll put disclaimers on the actual viewing posts, is that everyone who participates acts respectfully towards everyone else, and doesn't bash the characters as we're watching it. It's fine to be mad at Damon when he kills Jeremy or Stefan when he gets all superior to Damon on their road trip, but I don't want ship wars or some of the straight-up nastiness I've seen in some parts of the fandom at my journal. It's not allowed, and I will ban people if they go over the line.
