This was insanely awkward. He could only stare, open-mouthed, and pretend to be confused while his heart pounded against his ribcage in abject terror.

Yosuke was a terrible actor, what with his heart typically being attached to his sleeve and all, but he had to try. He had to try his damnedest or ... he couldn’t even imagine what his dad was going to do to him. Yosuke wiped his face on his sleeve as he stood, fists and teeth clenched in shame and rage. “You don’t even care what this might do to Junes, do you? The whole town already hates us! He was caught. There was little point in denying it anymore, so he threw all caution to the wind and came clean. “What the hell’s wrong with it?!” Yosuke shouted, pounding his bloody fist against the wall. “For fuck’s sake, Dad, we’re not hurting anybody!”

“You’re ruining your reputations, and ours by extension. This is not an acceptable or respectable relationship, and I cannot and will not tolerate it affecting our business.”
