When I take a day off, it's always for a reason, never just for a day to 'be' as my husband says. Yesterday I had a friend work for me so that I could take care of my mother after her gallbladder surgery. I was such a wreck, but not enough of a wreck to get my hair chopped off and colored. hugs for both you and your mom - glad she came through well!

it's wicked scary to see a parent like that, but it should clear soon - after which you can regale her with stories about all the things she said while she was out of it.

Thank you for the hugs, I will pass the other on to mom. Yeah, I'll tease her big time about the grogginess. Dad and I will no doubt gang up on her and get on her nerves.

I'm relieved that everything went well!! I had to wait until today to hear, which was excruciating :) Phew, hopefully she won't hurt too much while she's recovering!
