I really enjoy the way that you write Tifa as angry about Aerith's death. I find that interesting since usually she is so soft and pliant in fanfics. I really like the way you make her kind of resentful at Cloud for not seeming to care, for being so emotionless sometimes.
I like the way that Tifa asks herself why Aerith didn't come back and seems to have hopes that she might *still* come back somehow since she told Cloud that she would.
I like the way that Tifa is so very angry at Sephiroth. She must be so very angry at him and yet this is another thing I don't often see in fan fic.
I found this story very insightful and I really enjoyed it.
I don't know where the inspiration for this came from, but it was roaming around in my head for awhile on the car ride home yesterday. I just wanted to show another side and perspective to Tifa, the side that we really don't see much: her angry and bitter side. She was pained by Aerith's death, "But how pained by it?" is the question. I really wanted to try and convey just how much it hurt her to see her friend killed right before her eyes, and by the man who destroyed her home, killed her father, and nearly killed her.
I just wanted to sway from the norm of writing Tifa, I suppose.
