[ Why is this human crying. He kneels down to get a better look. Too used thanks to Sari. ]

What's the matter?

[ If he had a brow, it would be raised. Did that sound just speak her name? ]

What is that, if I may ask?

*Quietly* A Spirit Stone Radio.

Spirit Stones are special stones that contain voices from the past or those of spirit... they're thought to take on these properties when worn on or carried by a person for a long time. When they die, or dropped, their vocies and thoughts are recorded into the stone... Or in this case, my sister's charm.

The Spirit Stone Radio was invented by Dr. Kunihiko Aso, hoping to prove the existence of the spirit world. It allows the user to hear voices from the past and voices of any spirits contained within "Spirit Stones". Once inserted into the circuitry of the radio, the radio replays any voices contained within the stone.

Mr. Aso used a modified Echo Stone Earring with the crystal receiver to enable hearing of the voices. The radio is able to receive supernatural sounds and voices from the spirit world that could normally not be detected.

Kind of like my camera. I found it while I was in Minakami Village... And I guess it came over with me. *sigh*

Fascinating.

[ He nods. ]

I've never heard of such things. Only channeling, but never a radio that could speak with those in the afterlife.

May I see them?

It's... not really speaking to them. You just... hear the things they were thinking... Their thoughts and feelings.

*she rummages through the bag and starts pulling out crystals and stones: Argonite, small Argonite, a blue crystal, Chrysoberyl, a Crystal ore, Chrysocolla, a dimly glowing crystal, Dolomite, Lazulite, a glowing yellow crystal, a glowing red crystal, a glowing blue one, Flourite, and a Faintly glowing crystal...and Mayu's charm*

Take your pick.

[ He gives himself a moment to decide -- and then he picks up the Glowing Yellow Crystal from the company. ]

And it's to be placed either somewhere inside or close to the radio, yes?

In here. *she points to an opening at the top of the radio, waiting until he puts the crystal in.

The radio crackles to life with static again, and a male's vocie sounds through, with faint chanting in the background*

We killed her...
That can never be undone...
This was doomed from the beginning...
We should have let them both go...
Sae as well...

*there's more static and it goes silent*

...I got that at the Kureha Shrine in Minakami Village. It was left behind by a priest there.

[ And a nod. ]

I assume this is years before you've arrived to said village.

*chuckle* It disappeared in the Meiji Era... In 1870, I think.

*she sighs and shifts to get comfortable, removing the crystal* Do you want to hear another one?

[ And he nods, confirming a 'yes'. This time he chooses the dimly glowing crystal. ]

Have you read on this 'Sae' girl?

*she places the stone in the radio, not answering his question just yet*

Enveloped in darkness...
This village is doomed...
Morning will not come...
ever again...
We can never leave...*after that's done, she removes the crystal and goes for her bag again, shfiitng thorugh it and producing a small note pad. She flips through to a page, and starts to read ( ... )

[ He takes a moment to analyze all that she stated. ]

Hn.

I shouldn't be surprised with how cruel humanity can be, since, as a person has stated: No one is perfect, no one is absolute.

[ A pause. ]

You were mixed up into all of this because of more reasons than just the two of you, yourself and Mayu.

[ He's curious if there were more reasons, indeed, but he won't pry if she says no. ]
