Kurama found himself standing in the middle of an unfamiliar farm, and scanned the area dazedly. He  vaguely remembered discussing some sort of mission with Hiei, but besides that nothing. "Oh?" Well doesn't that seem interesting?

"What a coincidence. I exorcise restless ghosts. Small world."

*Perks up in interest*

Really? How do you do it? Do you use itako, or special equipment?

A bit startled by the girl's sudden interest, she holds up a camera that probably hadn't been noticed before.

"I use this camera. The Camera Obscura. It takes pictures of the impossible, but the side-effects of using it are worse then the exorcising it does." She shrugs indifferently, though the side-effects of the camera have been worrying her for a while now.

Botan frowns curiously.

"What are the side effects?"

She examines her nails with a practiced indifference. "Ability to see spirits without camera, hearing voices, obsession with taking pictures/using the camera constantly, possession and lastly, suicidal tendencies and/or death."

She lowers her hands and the camera to gaze at Botan. "But my dreams'll kill me long before this camera does."

"Oh, dear. Maybe you could get some medicine to help with the dreams?" The shinigami suggested, unsure of what to say about the camera.

Rei looks mildly surprised, then starts laughing that dry, unused laugh.

"I wish it were that simple!"

[ferrygirl]

Here, the blue-haired girl blinked.

"Why? What's the matter?"

[cursed_tattoo]

Rei gives Botan an odd look- like she's trying to read the girl's very soul.

"What do you know about curses?"

[ferrygirl]

"Er... not much, I'm afraid. It's never been my department, really."

[cursed_tattoo]

"Ah. Well, that's what I mean, I suppose. I've been cursed. Every night I enter the Manor of Sleep. Every day I wake and a tattoo grows on my body. Once that tattoo has covered every inch of my body, I'll die and my soul will be trapped in the Manor... forever."

Rei shrugs and sighs. "I've been finding a way to break the curse, and every night I get closer... But I don't know how well that'll go now that I'm here. I don't know if I just won't dream, or if it'll continue like normal."

[ferrygirl]

"Well, I hope you find it, that sounds awful."

[cursed_tattoo]

She sighs. "It put one of my friends in a coma... I have to break it. If not for my sake, then for her's."

"Let me know if there's anything I can do to help."
