Suckage from earlier tonight... I went and did some last minute shopping with my mother at the mall, mostly at New York and Company. Now, we've been going to this particular store for YEARS, she has credit with them, etc etc. Never had a single issue until tonight. We're browsing around their clearance items (which was somewhere around 7~8 long ( Read more... )

On the second.. if he's skimming 40 cents off you, and 20 cents of the next, and $1.00 off someone else, it adds up over time. Just a thought.

On the first: Someone pissed in her wheaties. I would have spoken to the manager. Rude Lady needed a spanking.

I had that same thought too :( had it been just me I would have gone in and done more, but my poor mother was a bit upset after the first incident so I let it go.

And yeah, omg. We are both going to write in about it and hopefully something will be done.

Jeez.. every time someone behaves the way the rude lady acted, I always wish I could muster up the courage to say something about her being needlessly rude without being rude myself, but I don't have the courage that my words would come out so nice either. I just don't understand why people have to act like everyone shit in their Cheerios.

Holidays make people NUTS. It's not really their fault--with economic pressures added in, it can be extremely stressful. That's why my family and I exchange NOTHING. No gifts. Coincidentally, our holidays are almost always stress free.

If you're referrin to the first incident, the woman was just a biotch. It would have taken five seconds to ring in the addition % off then to refuse, argue, and move the entire rack of pants.

Just being at work used to drive me nuts, but I would NEVER take it out on a customer no matter what. If something was priced incorrectly, I'd ask the management to honour it and then tell him to fix it.

I hate Christmas too though... I'm in debt because of school and have had to tell people not to give me something big or not give it to me at all because I just cannot afford it. And what do they do? They get me something big and I feel like crap.

You're right... if you're in dealing with ANY customer you do NOT take out your personal issues out on them. It is not only bad business, but rude.

Ugh. I understand cleaning up the fitting rooms after someone brings in a huge pile of clothes can be a pain(I spent an hour picking the clothes up off of ONE stall myself last night), but there was no reason that she should've made you count out each item. And I'm glad your mother stood her ground when FRL wanted to argue it out! Next time I'd suggest asking for a manager though, especially when she made the other cashier apologize for her mistake. The holidays are hectic and we aren't living the glamorous life folding sweaters, but that's really no damned excuse for her to be treating anyone that way.

You know, in my store, if a whole bunch of the same item is in the wrong place, I just mark it down for the customer as it was obviously our fault (customers don't move large groups of items in an obviously we stocked it kinda way) and then move the items (if I don't have time cause I'm cashiering at the time I'll at least move them to a tag that is the same or more than what they cost ( ... )
