Irritation at McDonald's.

Nov 21, 2010 17:32

I work on a retail park with a McDonald's so today on my lunch break I had a hankering for a Big Tasty. I tootled across the road to get my food in the rain and waited patiently for a server ( Read more... )

fluffed-up angry snoot poodle tone, yay for unrelated details, "i'll not be coming back here", flouncy flounce, mcwank, it's only bad service if you die, maybe they were diabetic, *fast food

Heh, I'm English. I wouldn't get too jealous, they suck. Maybe because they were freezing cold by the time I ate them but they still weren't good.

I've never had McD onion rings and I'm in the UK... I'm a fan of the ones from the just-eat takeaways but none deliver to my area. Stupid Cumbria :(

My guess is somewhere in the UK or AU since the OP ordered a still fanta.

Plus, I'm now curious to have these McDonalds Onion rings.

I have had them not give me a freaking bun before.

I just don't know how they could have forgotten something so fundamental?

If they're really busy and they're waiting for a bun to come down the toaster, they may have assembled the sandwich on the patty, intending to slip the bun on when it got through the toaster. Then miscommunication leads to your burger getting handed to you sans bun.

Oh that makes sense. Mistakes do happen but I was just irritated at just how many were made with one order.

I toss my buns anyway but I would probably be mad. They won't let me order any sandwich here without a bun!! :|

Why didn't you make sure the rest of your order was correct when you noticed the missing onion rings? It sounds like they totally screwed up your order, I agree there. But I think you also piled a bit of extra aggravation on there yourself, needlessly,

I'm sorry, I am lacking in x-ray vision, predicting the future and bun detection skills. I must remember next time to not assume that my burger is complete. I didn't think it was necessary to be honest because missing a side order out is easily done. Missing the burger bun though? Not so easy. Especially as I've always had very good service from there previously.

Ok sarcasm? I doubt the PP meant anything mean, she/he was just asking a question. Personally, when I get food from places like that I check what's in the bag before I leave. Always. Now, maybe missing the bun you wouldn't notice, but you would have noticed the onion rings.

It definitely was bad service, though. I would call the manager or owner of the place and let them know you had to go back x amount of times to get one order filled.

That person said after the onion rings. I checked it was all there the second time around and because it said on the grill slip "no tomatoes, no onions" I assumed they'd made it correctly and not without a bun. I just don't know how I could have predicted that, especially as I've always had very good service previously.

One of the managers is on my Facebook and he's seen my update about it. He tells me he'll feed it back.
