Minor/annoying doctor service

Which could become a bigger bad service if they caused a problem with my rides.

contains bad words )

follow-up, a wave of understanding, it's only bad service if you die, insurance woes

because they're doctors, not babysitters. if you're asked to do something, it's your job to make sure it gets done. it is, after all, YOUR health. nobody is going to hold your hand and walk you through life. that's what your pastor/religious person of choice is for. there are too many other patients who do what they're told to stop taking care of them and follow you around. if you're too busy, call and reschedule for a more convenient time. either which way, the only suck here is you blaming others for your irresponsibility.

Actually, from what I gather, OP was informed by the medical staff to schedule the test at/after the meeting. OP was going to do this, and was under the impression that this was fine. They only called OP the day of to let zem know that it wasn't an option.

I didn't get anything about OP expecting a babysitter. Maybe you should explain how you got that impression.

You are correct in your assessment, Terry asked me to schedule a second appointment after I had done the testing, separate to the appointment mentioned here. Probably for billing purposes now that I think about it (different things require different codes, and I think the back exam was separated out because of this, who knows, Medicare is weird).

It's still bad service to cancel an appointment about a different condition because some paperwork for a separate problem isn't complete, IMO. Though I'm sure someone will say that the thyroid stuff is causing the back problems.

I love how you, just like the doctor's office, assume there's laziness and entitledness going on when it's really grief and worldturnedupsidedown-ness. At least we can see for ourselves how there are those (read: your) kind(s) of people out there! Thanks for that.

I know you don't know me, and I really don't know you, but I am so sorry you have to go through all of that. How horrible. :(
