I am going to a convention this weekend and decided to go to my local Party City to pick up some cheap fishnets. Now I am not sure about other Party City's, but this location is notoriously messy and strangely stocked. Honestly, they already knew what happened to the shoes -- either someone took them or some careless customer tried two pairs on and then swapped them by accident. Since it's the only box left, someone went home with two left shoes.

They should have taken the remaining shoes off the rack, though. :)

I agree with this. It doesn't take too much common sense to realize that if there is one box and two right shoes, the left counterparts aren't hiding somewhere.

The Party City in my town used to be like that. Nothing was ever organized and the place was always a mess. Then they got a new manager that made sure everything was cleaned up. Party City was so much nicer to shop in after that. So if this place is a wreck it's probably the manager. I would probably contact the company and complain about the state of the store and the shoes you found. Maybe they can get someone better to manage the place.

I work at a shoe store where all the shoes are out and even though we try to check ever box that leaves, sometimes two right or left feet will walk out together. We do our best to find the right pair but if someone else has bought the other two there's really nothing we can do. It's annoying for us and the customer.
