Background: I am currently enrolled in culinary school (and loving it). Today started the last week of my current term (garde manger, with an awesome teacher, irrelevant but worth mentioning) and being a last minuter I stayed a little late to complete all the work that was due today (it's assigned every week but collected end of term). It had been dead since you left, which definitely indicates that the change was there prior to your attempt to pay with a $10. So yeah, what a bitch. Do you think she was just lazy?

its probably considered a safety/theft hazard if she were to tell any customers she was about to make a cash drop.

Telling customers you have unprotected money isn't just stupid, it's dangerous.

It's in Davie, FL and it's called McFatter Vocational. We have more prestigious schools like AI and FIU and Johnson and Whales, but b/c McFatter is public it costs about 10% what the others would, and there are many opportunities for scolarships to other schools with more specific programs after graduating from here if you wished.

FL is exactly the state I was looking to go to so that works out perfectly. Thank you so much! ♥

How do you know she didn't get change from the cash office/safe/etc. while you were gone? I can run out of change and then two minutes later have tons of it, because someone fills my change order and returns it to me.

I guess I'm just not reading "Cashier tells me she doesn't have change" as "Cashier tells me to fuck myself and GTFO and get my own change."

That's a very valid point (and I think in this case the "c-word" is a bit extreme), but with the way things are set up it doesn't seem all that believable.
Also the main registration office was still buzzing, just the bookstore happened to get a lull and I think in most cases when a rush was imminent she wouldn't have left and gone to get change...at least one would hope.
