This bad service is not totally the store's fault, I definitely admit some fault on this one. I went to Burlington Coat Factory in the Sawgrass mall which is about a 45 minute drive for me, there's one a little closer to me but I wanted to visit some other stores and I like the one in the mall better as it's bigger and has a better selection. I'm ( Read more... )

Slightly inconvenient service? Sure. I wouldn't call it BAD service until they haven't done anything about it. Hopefully they do, though! :D

Charade is totally under-appreciated. It's her best movie, and I love Carey Grant. Mmmmm...

I'm not saying it's at all the girl's job to do this, but upon checking for the product number, you'd think she'd have noticed.

(Although, I can't tell with women's shoes, I guess you wouldn't really be able to tell unless you wore shoes like that frequently.)

Or she assumed you have two left feet. Will there be dancing on this criuse? :)

Yea I kinda wish she wouldve noticed as she picked up both shoes (I only tried on one lol).

Yes there will be :)

With most businesses, I'd probably wait until the end of the next business day after my first call, and then call back the next morning after that if I haven't heard anything. Sure, you're not their only customer but odds are there aren't that many calls from customers with two left shoes that need to be exchanged. Checking if shoes are in stock would probably take about two minutes, and returning the call to the customer would take another two, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a call within one or two days. If it were a more complex issue, a longer wait might be expected, but it seems pretty simple to me. :)

I don't see this as bad service at all, really. A mistake was made and so far, the store seems willing to work with you to correct the issue. If they start giving you the runaround, then maybe.

Fair enough, I wouldn't have posted if I weren't wondering how long I should wait, I was really hoping I could get some feedback on that, tbh.

Oh, okay. lol. I didn't want to sound bitchy up there.

I would wait two business days. after that, call them every single day until you get an answer.

Give it another day maybe? If you don't hear back by the end of the business day today then call tomorrow morning. And yeah, it's really not bad service (yet).

I'm also confused, did you try the shoes on before you bought them?

I did but I only tried on one so I didn't notice they were 2 left shoes :-/

Kind of makes me glad I always try on both shoes when I go shopping. In my case, it's because one of my feet is slightly wider than the other and what works perfectly well on one isn't always comfy on the other.

Same, I've had two foot surgeries. One foot is slightly wider and different from the other. Not to mention I have 1 1/2 inch long scars on the top of each foot so I have to try on both shoes to make sure they're comfortable and fit each foot.
