We're Closed!

Jul 06, 2009 13:28

So I'm unsure whether to post this or not seeing as part of it was caused by my own (unknowing) customer suckiness, plus I have a tendency to be overly idealistic about things like this, so I also tend to get overly irked, but here goes:

Why don't you announce it when you're closing, that way I don't make you stay later than you have to? )

yay for unrelated details, sry no orders of wank 5 mins before clos, reading is for squares, this deer is desiccated, gym/fitness, hours, line breaks please!, someone needs a hug, two sucks one post, bitter: party of you, didn't read the box/sign/instructions, tagger tags with love

But the fact that they just expected us to know when the gym closed and to be out by then seems to me to be super bad service.

Uh, no. If I go to a supermarket, is it bad service for them to expect me out at 11 when it closes?

No.

Also, the employees said there were signs up. No one even expected the OP to *magically* know the hours. They were posted.

There was no need for them to be rude about it, especially since it wasn't announced.

I think it's excusable up until you inform they you didn't know, are sorry and are getting ready as fast as you can.

I mean, It's not like a store where you can just stop looking at things. You weren't suitable to go out in public. Clocks in locker rooms would help a lot, I'd expect. I mean, it's an area with a lot of water. You understandably would not shower with your cellphone.

I kind of understand being exasperated (as you do, as well - since you said so) but they should have understood that getting dressed from being in the shower simply takes a few minutes. It just... does.

They also need to understand that if they are at work, and someone stays late - it's part of their job to stay as well, as inconveninent as it may be.

I disagree on it being bad service to not announce when they close (if it's posted, then yes - you should know. And if you come that close to close, then yes, you should also make sure you have a time piece handy.)

But regardless - they were pretty jerkish about having to ~*do their job.*~

The girl could have handled that a teeny bit better, but if the hours were posted, then the blame isn't on them.
