Ok, so... The salsa was terrible, and you two ate it. The nachos were gross and your mom ate it. The enchilada was terrible, and she ate it. The waiter was a douche, and she paid the bill without saying a word... Oh and tipped him.

That about sum it up?

Nothing against your mom, I can understand being hungry, but I don't think there's any right to complain when she allowed it to continue or even end without saying anything.

Well, if it were up to me - I wouldn't have tipped. But my mom's not like that. She was hungry, and although the food was repulsive, yes, she ate it. We'd already gotten our food, it's not like one can really just up and leave once they've been served. Unless you're, you know, trying to get arrested.

I'm not saying she shouldn't have paid, and I really didn't mean my response in a nasty way... I just don't get it. Forget the tip, why wouldn't she say something to someone about it? Or even when she was paying, you casually say something?

I don't know. There's a tag for this and once I see it I'm going to say yeaah that one.

Hmmm, I'd just have to chalk it up to being passive, wanting to be nice, and wanting to leave asap. But since I'm really dissatisfied I'd still like to at least shoot corporate an email to let them know that their food's kinda crappy.

i would call and let the manager know how bad the food and the service was. even if you have no plan to go back it would let them know how badly they f%$ked up.

This sounds like a good plan. Or, perhaps, if I can find an email address to contact corporate, since I think they're a chain, I will do that as well.

Mostly this post was just a warning to others, it would really suck if someone else had to have a similar or worse experience at that place than we had.

going there was the "single worst idea she's ever had"? Really? Was your mom raised in a bubble or is she just overly dramatic?

Hyperbole happens sometimes. I once ordered a pizza I didn't like and said it was the biggest regret of my life.

My exact reaction to "Now you're done." is "Yeah and now you don't get a tip."
