Is anyone here a Cricket Wireless user? I'm trying to cancel my account, which requires talking to a live body, and none of the options in their stupid automated message will give me one. By some grace of God, I got to wait for a representative n the second call, but I was hung up on after a 30 minute wait. I pulled another number from their ( Read more... )

i use their mobile internet.

it takes me at least 30 minutes to get through to tech support every time my internet doesnt work(on average every couple weeks), and then i either get a "yeah, there are some service outages in your area" or i get upgraded to a higher level of tech who i never hear from(but the problem seems to fix itself).

If you don't pay your bill on the day it's due the next month they will cancel it for you.
I actually liked Cricket because I never really travel out of my service area and everything was included for cheap.

Cricket? The no credit check company?

Nah. They cut you off and then a few months later try to get you to come back by offering to reinstate your account for cheap cheap if you already have the phone.

My friend has had 4 or 5 different accounts with them. She was having trouble with people who had her number so she just let that account expire and opened up another one with them. She's done that a few times. You pay in advance for the month, so when you don't pay it's not like you used anything they didn't get money for.

Yeah. We did that a few times, partially because we were broke, but I needed a cheap phone since we didn't have a landline, and partially because I was getting an insane amount of rude collectors calling for the people who had the number ahead of me. The first time, I got a coupon in the mail to where if I came back, I didn't have to pay anything but $5. The second and third times I just had to pay the reactivation fee. That's why I love Cricket.

I rather liked them when I used to have them. Had good luck going into their stores for service.

Now, I'm in an AT&T family plan that in-laws pay for, so free is good for me.
