I enjoy Dunkin Donuts for the donuts. I don't generally enjoy their coffee because all the times I have been, they just put the cream and sugar in it for me. Let me preface this by saying I don't live in an area populated by Dunkin Donuts so I was not aware that you can just ask for them NOT to put it in for you and just put the sugar in yourself ( Read more... )

I don't see any real advantage for them to insist on putting the cream in for you. It'd be easier for the employees to just leave room instead. McDonald's advertises that they'll do it if you ask, but they have yet to do it for me when I've asked.

To be honest, I play dumb when people try to order Starbucks drinks at my work. If someone can't be bothered to read a simple menu, I can't be bothered to translate. However, I'm always polite, so there's a distinction.

Maybe she's had to deal with a lot of grumpy people waiting for flights and it has chipped away at her patience.

Well she wasn't going to ask for a Starbucks drink but she just wanted to know what would be frappucino like. I felt bad for her. Lil old lady!

Yeah it was weird that she was getting bitchy about having to do LESS work

I can see it as a way of cutting down on mess and theft. At the cafe where I work we go through a huge amount of splenda and sugar in the raw because people grab handfuls to take home.

I get up there and I am not even AT The counter before this short woman standing behind the counter is yelling for my order.

I think that just must be how they are trained. I feel like I've got one foot in the door and they are asking for my order. I just tell them that I'll be a minute while I decide and stand off to the side.

The coffee hag sounds obnoxious. I'm glad you got all your order all right in the end.

The Starbucks part at the end confuses me. Dunkin Donuts doesn't sell Starbucks coffee. Was the lady behind you anencephalic or something? o_o

Pardon. I just read your comment above about it. Everything makes a lot more sense now. :)

No, she didn't know what the drink from Starbucks that she enjoys would be called at a Dunkin Donuts
