I get it. You think Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, are hot. But please, every single AU of a non-Supernatural canon character you make does not need to have one of them as a PB. Especially if those canon characters are Trunks from DBZ, and Shippo from Inu-Yasha. It's really off-putting.

I'm sorry, it must be horribly frustrating, but I can't help giggling!

I keep imagining them using those three PBs for absolutely everything, no matter the physical appearance, gender or age of the characters...

Playing Santa? No problem: Jensen Ackles with a Santa hat! Playing a princess? *shrugs* I can just photoshop eyeshadow and lippy onto Misha Collins! Applying for an overweight, 50 year-old OC with a wart on his cheek? Well yeah, but on the inside he's totes Jared Padalecki!

Usually I try looking at it that way to lessen my annoyance, but on some days that doesn't help, and it really gets annoying.

But Jen as Santa? BRB laughing till my stomach hurts.

I know right? The worst part, Jensen!Trunks has badly photoshopped purple hair, which makes it even more eye grating.

That Trunks made me go WTF when I first saw it not too long ago.

I'm kind of hesitant to go look up the Shippo.

Not all of Shippo's icons are Misha Collins. Just the aged up Shippo which still makes me WTF. I mean fine you wanna give PBs to anime character go ahead. But at least make sure they look somewhat similar to the anime character. And match the ethnicity!

I saw someone use Jensen Ackles for Pa Ingalls in some Little House type of story in a game. *facepalm* I've seen people use Britney Spears as the goddess Hera. It just boggles the mind.

Now, I did see someone use Stewie Griffin as the PB for the Pope. That was funny.

Pretty silly stuff, but we had fun at it.

I can understand if the whole PB issue is to create a more unity in playing. Like all Live-Action default to a Comic/Anime-esque PB in game, or all Anime/Comic default to a Live-Action PB, but you know the whole point of those is making sure the PB looks like the character. Not just slapping who you think is hot, as the character's PB.

Coming back to the Alphonse bit, finding a PB for him would be easy, since he is a suit of armour mostly. Finding a PB for Ed though, would be hell challenging.

Like the person who decided David Tennant made a good Aziraphale from Good Omens.

I think I've seen the few the other way around. As in LA to Anime/Comic. But yeah it's rare.
