I'm actually planning on making insane things to them which, in turn, demand insane work from them. Among other things, for example, I'm planning on having them flashback (for a session or two) to their Mythical Age selves, and fight in a massive, Lord of the Rings Style battle. They won't get any warning, just get handed the sheet with the characters "grown" to their Mythical selves

Or maybe I run in poor circles, the site I'm playing on has a few rooms and in the majority of them the only Changeling people are interested in playing is the "Pretty colours! Romance! Sidhe with Seeming's-fucking-Blessing-and-App-7;" variety.

In other words, I am a bitter GM, and I raise my favorite plotting pencil in solidarity with you and your stupid player trials.

To be fair, I do love the Sidhe, but less for the ~romance pretty sparkles~ and more for the chivalry and the fact that they're tragic, practically sociopathic, and seriously self-obsessed elves with an itty bitty shelf life.

Yeah, I know of a site with an awesome Changeling game, although the WOD chat I run in supposedly has a rather lame team of STs, lead by a Head GM who despises the Feudal system. Yes, it's unfair, yes, it's cruel even, but... it's part of the fun of the setting! Rebelling against the man!

Then again, I've played a lot of L5R which means that neither Werewolf or Vampire "hierarchy" scares me, and Changeling feudalism is a walk in the park compared to Rokugan and their society.

But I digress. Yes, changeling can be pretty colours funtime....but that's usually for younger changelings. Older ones are already trapped in politics, courtly backstabbing, etc.

Oh and this GM? Doesn't let any Sidhe start with a title. And Commoners have more rights AND more titles overall than Sidhe do. It's facepalm worthy.

I'm more of a vampire player and even i think i would enjoy a changling game run with this level of care. For V:tM i always require a description of the type you described. At least. I'm a GM information Nazi but i've found a core group of players here that love it. Best of luck to you with this player and have the courage to tell them off if it keeps up.

I've wanted to play changeling forever. I'm a huge nerd for the Fey and always have been. So when I found out there was an RP for this? I nearly died. My group won't run it though. It's not 'Badass' enough for them. So I run Dark Heresy and V:tM.
