Pre-Game Suckfest actually sounds like it would be something sexy and fun. It wasn't.

I am joining an online Changeling: The Lost game. I made my character, wrote his awesome backstory, statted him out, and I'm totally ready to play. The ST was also really cool with some ideas I had about how to use a contract, which is a plus. So, where's the suck?

This makes me shake my head in dismay. I'll admit that in a lot of tabletop groups, you can get away with less backstory. (A lot, not all, just my experience with different groups) But for an online game... uh, characterization and backstory become much more essential. Just nature of the medium, since it's more writing intensive.

Just out of curiosity, if he didn't want to put the work in the character and just have a munchkin weapon, why did you bother talking him into coming back? It doesn't seem like it helped anything.

I'm sorry, but how exactly did he expect to play a character if it had no past? Unless he literally popped into existence right then, he had a backstory of some sort. :/

...26 six dot murderstick. Come on, if you're gonna build your character around an item, at least backstory it to make sure we know why the damn thing is so important.

Yeesh. Good riddance to Grawp and hopefully you all found someone much better to play in your chronicle.

And here I was complaining about my Storyteller also requesting fiction stuff on top of the background for our Mage: the Ascension game.
