My month fell open when I read his post and I don't blame you or Z for freaking out at all. Worst part for those keeping score at home:
"It was the beginning of that voice again. That change in WutDude that made him look older, more confidant before it again began to fade along with a momentary glimmer of a silver white glow around he and the girl he hadn't known he'd produced.
Yes, WutDude thinks he's being heroic here. Heroic and sparkling.
I thought he was more "abusive and sparkling," really. But that's just me.
Though personally, I kinda like having characters who aren't gentlemen [intentionally, unlike WutDude up there]. I have a janitor / maintenance worker at a school for kids with powers who typically gets through the day by imagining them all on fire or dying in a building collapse or something. He's not much better when he actually has to interact with them (or the other faculty) either >>
Heck yes, I understand! But when they try to do it and fail stupendously, it comes off as creepy. I used to have a guy who I intentionally made creepy and ungentlemanlike, and I had a ball with him! He stole one chick's shirt and smelled it when he was alone. Yeah.
I believe you're right. That and it's been half a year since I've RP'd, longer for a forum. I miss making characters. Plus, messing with WhutDude would be PRICELESS for Lulz.
(I DO NOT know what it is with twenty-year olds trolling around a school for teenage mutants, we have quite a few).
You're not alone in this. The board I'm on now has a highschool-for-mutants type setting that was generally meant for characters ranging between 12 and 19. One of the older players made a 300 year old character who, by his own logic, had absolutely no reason to be there.
Board I was on before that had a similar concept, and one of the veteran players (an admin, actually, and one of the big reasons I ended up leaving) had a 30-something character who hung around campus. And one of his powers was essentially X-ray vision. Which he used on students quite frequently.
...that kind of got away from me.
He grabs Z by the shoulders and presses against her, his torso being only an inch or two from her back. And then he uses purple prose. "Hold fast, here there is sanctuary for those who stand against the darkness of ignorance and would illumine those held in its sway. Here thou art safe."....Who the hell talks like this?

I actually considered making my character younger so that she could stick around the Institute longer if need be, but I think there's only a handful of maybe fifteen students that are actually high school/secondary age. I guess everyone missed it where the Institute is a school for teenagers.
EWWWWW CREEPERS EW EW EW!
He does when he becomes the Last WutDude of Virtue. or something. And Z and D just think he's messing with them.
I could continue facepalming at WutDude, but I choose to applaud for D and ship D/Z based solely on this one interaction 'cause I'm a huge dork like that.
These stories are making me miss my mutant character. She had static electricity powers and was scared of mutants. Yes, even though she was one. So someone grabbing her from behind like that would have gotten a serious zapping.
