I don't have a problem if it's part of the fandom but the need to take straight characters and turn them all gay. Just take on a gay character instead.
Ouch, I can totally sympathize with you. I know alot of muns are really into this whole 'yaoi' stuff but I think after awhile, they tend to forget the concept that NOT every male character in a particular fandom is GAY.
Understandable. I just had a conversation with a friend of mine about the same topic. I find it a little aggravating too when muns take pseudo straight characters and just turn them gay for their OTPs. You really do not see muns doing the same toward 'female' characters by making them all lesbians unlike what I have seen muns do to male characters.
Gender preference still remains embedded, even if it is hidden or denied. For a character to purposely seek a sex they don't find attracted to (unless of course they are inhibiting extreme denial and trying to hide their homosexuality,) doesn't make sense.
With what the OP was saying, these are character who have shown no gay hints or suppression of their real sexuality, but their rpers just suddenly bring it out of them in a split-second of teenage-yaoi-fangirlness.
(I blame this on watching John Barrowman's documentary, haha.)

I know where you're coming from, even though I don't play fandom RPs. But what?
