Rant number 3.

I have several new annoyances to confess today with two different players...

Please take note, I RP in an English University RPG where we use celeb looks and names, but create our own characters with them.

1.
The guy who seems to have trouble turning David Tennant into anyone but Doctor Who. Please see our conversation the other day after he began a JP.

Note: I was playing Billie Piper 'cause he begged me to. Although my Billie is a smoking, druggy hippy, who spends most of her time stoned out of her head at rock concerts.

Stupidguy: David walked down the streets, wearing his suit and coat. He always wore his suits and a coat, never a T-Shirt. He was also smiling, since he always smiled. After all, there wasn't any point in frowning, not unless you were really upset. As he walked along with his hands in his pockets, he looked around, liking the new town he was in.
Me: (no offence meant, but that's really cliche)
Stupidguy: (I know. I like cliche. Trust me, get's different)
Stupidguy: (Plus, what's wrong with a little cliche anyway?)
Me: (nothing, but sometimes it can be too much...)
Stupidguy: ((Sometimes, but it doesn't mean they have to act like they do on Dr Who)
Stupidguy: (Not always)
Me: (well that would help considering he's supposed to be David not Doctor Who)
Stupidguy: (Well, he doesn't have a sonic probe-That's Screwdriver(I love that bit) or a TARDIS)

I banged my head against the desk just a few times that afternoon because it did get worse.

2.
Again, same guy, he won't play any female characters, he says he doesn't know how to. I eventually managed to talk him into playing one and then several lines in I get...

Stupidguy: (I could make her a bi-sexual as an interesting twist)

A little later on his extremely shy female character kissed mine of the blue, they'd only just met. If he has a problem playing females 'cause he'd feel weird having to write responces to men, he should just say so.

3.
Last night I received an IM from someone who very rarely speaks to me, and when she does it takes her five minutes to muster a responce. The reason? One of my characters had messed up one of planned-down-to-the-last-detail storylines.

My female character had come along that afternoon and slept with one of her character's love interests, and she thought they were going to start dating and she was panicking about it.

I'll show you the convo.

girl: and in [group name] is your one character going to start dating jacob young
me: No lol
girl: i was wondering with him sleeping with her
me: Ah right I see... nah, don't worry
girl: since he was seeing my girl
(Take note again, they fell out and he was supposedly a player on campus)
girl: i had no idea spacie had that planned
me: I don't think she did, it just happened
girl: wonder how this will play out
girl: espically with him bringing her as the date to the party
me: Dunno lol but she was telling me earlier that she could see Sarah and Ant together 'cause he was sweet & stuff & because Jacob doesn't know what he wants
girl: i don't even know who ant is
girl: i mean i am picky about who she is with since she is one of my fave celebs
me: oh right lol fair enough
girl: who is he
me: you won't know him, he's an English actor
girl: ahh is his pic up
girl: i will have to see if he is attrative
girl: but what if we use this where sarah and ant get close and i will ask spacie if she wants to do this part
girl: jacob gets jealous and realizes what he wants
me: yeah, i have all my pics up my album, so feel free to go and have a look lol & yeah, we could do
me: oh & as for Jacob asking Cheryl to the party, i don't think she'll be going with him, so don't worry
girl: to me is okay looking not someone i would be attratced to that way

She just really irked me, since when do you need to be personally attracted to other peoples characters to set them up or start a storyline with them? So my characters are going to get pushed aside now, even though they're really nice and genuine people, just 'cause they're not good looking enough in her eyes...

Believe it or not, she did get worse, saying how she got certain people to play characters just 'cause she wanted her girls dating them and that one of her characters would have to stay single until someone picked up her wanted character. No one elses single characters are good enough then either.

No love to either of you,
Me xx
