It looked like she let go and kind of lost her position over the jump, but then there was intent behind the way her hand came down, it was too fast and sharp to be just flailing.
On the bright side, she never pulled on his face... her hands were right off the reins!
Seen this video before, didn't even notice the whip at all until it was mentioned now. It looks more like an accident to me, I've lost my reigns before and your hands just don't know what to do haha. Even if she hit it with the crop I'm not sure why she would've been trying to achieve in the first place.
It actually does look like an accident to me...of course, it's still an epic fail and I hope she dropped the height of fences and worked on her form for a bit, 'cause she fell off for *no dang reason*. :P
