Question- you don't see ANYTHING wrong with this and it's such a good picture you want to use it to sell your horse? REALLY? Poor soul looks like a giraffe!

Don't walkers generally get ridden with a high head and a significant head-bob?

I mean, it's not what I would be looking for, but if I were selling a breed that is 'supposed' to hold its head up and nod its head I wouldn't be demoing it in a dressage frame.

Yes that is a nice looking walker, but if you were to judge it by dressage or hunter standards, it would not exactly be fair.

"Oh hey look, here's some shitty dressage training."
"Uh, it's a walker that is not even attempting to do dressage in that picture."

Hey, I'm greyskyridge, the devil's advocate

Seriously? The guy's foot isn't even in the stirrup. Or does it remind you fondly of your "gentleman caller"?

Oh, where do I start.

1. NOT a correct gaited horse "high head". Horse is stargazing, and from the lack of muscle development on top of the head has been doing it for a while. Stargazing is usually caused by overbitting and best cured by going back to a snaffle and riding on a very loose rein for a while.

2. Horse looks tense and overall unhappy.

3. Are those reins or baling twine?

4. I think that's the worst chair seat I've seen in a while. RIDER is tense, maybe not really comfortable without stirrups, elbows clutched to his side, legs too far forward and butt too far back.

5. Tail looks suspiciously cut, although I can't be sure from that shot.

6. I'm struggling to tell, but those poles in that style usually go with SHEEP MESH, which is every bit as bad to use with horses as barb wire.

7. It's a crappy photo - the photographer needs to learn to pan better when taking action shots.

"Exposed" to a stallion.lol

I hate incorrect use of shank bits.
The end.

The one sided use of the bit- failure to use stirrups- fact that horse looks like a bitty baby/underweight are all fails for me.
