I'm sure the traveller community has some brilliant horse handlers/riders among them. These people do not qualify. Particular lowlights after 4 mins, and the kids at 5.43.
ugghhh..... after recently getting to go swimming with some horses this horrifies me. We were all instructed to let go of the horses head when they get into deep water. Hold on to the base of their mane if needed and scoot a little further back than normal. All of the horses we had love the water and were hard to get out when we were through. These however..... I don't have words. Whats up with the whole trying to dunk them all the way under thing? The guy that was riding and kept jumping on his horses neck to try and get its head underwater deserves to drown himself.
Gee, I wonder why the horses don't want to go into the water (yes, I realize some horses just don't like water, but I'm going to hazard a guess that this isn't the first time it's happened and that's not the appropriate way to get a horse into water anyway). After an experience like that, next time I saw water, I'd be like "hell no" too. This is frustrating.
I cheered when that one horse dumped the guy in the water himself.
And yeah, that's a great way to get your horse to go into water willingly - try to drown it every time it does! If they want the head to get wet, did none of them think about dropping an apple in there?
