how is this bad riding? Her horse is being a goof, and she did a good job sitting it, and making it not a big deal and moving on. It looks like a training level test. Tests are different depending on the country I think.
This ^ My rising 5 year old did a similar performance in the dressage warm up yesterday. (Though he did redeem himself with a 3rd and 5th :D) Fair enough her legs leave a little to be desired, but still well sat.
Nice cob. And well ridden and well sat...as for her legs...mine do that when a horse starts bucking too! But the rider did exactly the right thing...rode forward, didn't get mad, didn't let it get to her.
In fact, my trainer's Thoroughbred did almost exactly that in our last lesson...decided he wasn't going to canter through one particular corner of the arena for no reason human senses could perceive and that he was going to buck instead. He did it *twice*. I call those things 'green horse moments'.
