Rider too big? Maybe just a little....

I got annoyed at this vid. Firstly I appreciate many ponies are prodigiously strong, and can carry large riders with ease, but this pony is not that chunky and has very dainty little legs. I think this is pushing it as a weight carrying performance. Secondly the rider is clearly losing balance quite often (not least probably because of the size of ( Read more... )

wow...yeah...thats just..awful...and in the description telling people not to get on their "high horse" and something about "if you would put a kid on a horse that bucks like that you are an idiot"...seriously? no i would not put a kid on that pony...but i know SEVERAL small adults that would be much better suited...not only is it too short its too narrow...that saddle looks like its bigger than the poor pony...just...ugh

This is awful! I hate the description, too. If I was testing this pony out for my child I would A) find a smaller adult rider, and B) actually DO something instead of letting the horse run around in circles. Like, oh I don't know, attempt to steer, stop, turn around ... do things you want your child to be able to do. Christ.

I would assume most people that own a pony of that size also have a child who was the pony's rider. Yes, they've probably outgrown the pony, but they still wouldn't be the size of a full grown man! Why not have the current owner's kid be the test rider?! Or have whomever was the pony's primary rider, ride it!?!

The poor pony looks like he's straining just to keep his legs under him for most of the 'ride'. I'd buck too! I think its incredibly likely that the pony *wouldn't* buck for an appropriately sized rider, but what self respecting pony is going to put up with being made to canter with THAT much weight on his back?!

What bothers me the most about that whole video is that the "customer" clearly knew what was going on and still allowed their pony to be treated that way....

And if this was a test ride... shame on the seller for allowing it!
