Let's just whip the horses like crazy when they ownt jump something that's on extremely unstable ground. I don't have anything against foxhunting but I have something against the people who don't know how to ride.
I had to laugh because that was somewhat annoying to watch.
I have a question for anyone who can answer: On a foxhunt, if something like that happens and there is a horse (or several) who will NOT go over a jump like that, what happens? What if there is absolutely NO WAY your horse is going over it and there is no way around it? Do you just get left behind?
I've never been around anything like that, so it may be a dumb question, but I really have no idea how those things work.
For some of those people, FYI, if your body is telling your horse "shit! don't jump that!" then, the horse isn't going to jump it. Smacking the horse and pulling it in multiple directions and then asking it to stop when you get to the jump isn't going to help your issue.
Well the fox hunt I'm going to allows you to go around jumps if you want to. You could skip them all even. I think that if she absolutely couldn't get her horse to jump it then she probably would have found a way around it.
Got ya. That's what I was wondering. I didn't know if they allowed you to go around it or not. In the video, it felt like they were working on getting those horses over for like 20 minutes (when really it was only 7); so I figured by that point they would let the horses go around the jumps instead of beating them. But, really it didn't take as long as it seemed. I don't jump or do anything relatively close to fox-hunting--so I wasn't sure if you had to do jumps or not. Thanks!
That was so dangerous. Im not a freak about safety but hell, there a hole forming a few horses in. The fact that they keep putting the pole up is stupid too. It might be a rule or something though. I dont know anything about foxhunting. But I do wish the girl on the chestnut would have gotten dumped and that bay horse had a little bit better aim with his kicks.
The fence wasn't attached to the post, so why not... like, move the damn thing? Holy crap, people and their precious egos. Every one of them deserve a Darwin award for doing something as stupid as this. The poor horses.
This was so frustrating to watch. It was like, once the guy in the red coat beat his poor horse over the fence, the others felt that it was A-OK for them to do the same. Use your BRAINS, people. LISTEN to your horses, and what they're telling you! Freaking idiots. Poor horses.
