I used to play StarFleet Battles where we would carpet the entire second floor of my friend's house in hex sheets. Each room was a faction territory with a marked 'Neutral Zone' which was the hallway. For some reason the Tholians always ended up in the little bathroom. :P
I feel like I missed out on such nerd heritage. I'm as geeky as the next guy with Spock ears on but I've never played D&D. I even know a lot about the systems from Bioware's Neverwinter Nights game, which was, apparently, a very accurate computer simulation of the actual systems. Now that 4th edition is coming out I want to try it even more but still don't have a friendly enough nerd brood to try. Sigh.

Note: The black toner/ink from the sheets came off onto our white socks and didn't come out very well, much to my mother's displeasure. c_c
