I love the shopkeepers terror and his reasoning that he's just sleepwalking. He's not doing anything wrong. And I love this view of the Winchesters, especially the observations of Dean and Sam. Great story hon!

Thank you. To be honest, I wanted to smack Jackson a little as I was writing this. Talk about denial.

Oh he's definitely in denial. But everyone's the hero in their own story. I completely understand why he'd not want to believe he's killing people. He's a coward, but he's very very human.

I guess. But still, keeping something like that secret...

Terrific fic! Interesting perspective from the outside POV, especially when the reader knows he's not a bad guy but to the Winchesters, he's obviously evil. Sad but very insightful story... (Oh, and loved your portrayal of the Winchester family. Stern but worried John, conscientious and older than his years Dean, headstrong Sammy.)Thanks for posting this!

Wonderful. You've done what very few people have done - I was actually sorry for poor Mr. Jackson before the Winchesters caught up with him. The characterizations of the boys and John are well done.

Thank you!

I really enjoyed reading this story from the shop keepers point of view. I've been a bit bored with a lot of the stories out there right now, but this one hit the spot. Nice work.

Writing from the 'bad guy's' perspective is always mean; you know they should be caught, but that doesn't mean you want them to.

Thanks for commenting, I'm glad you liked it.
