The last couple of times Mal talked to his mechanic, they were not exactly happy times.

Mal will at least attempt to change this, as he heads to the engine room from his bunk, fresh from Milliways.

It's late.

Kaylee's starting to feel sleepy, even. She's in her hammock, braiding and unbraiding wires. Something to do with her hands.

She finishes the braid, and begins to coil it around -- a bracelet, a ring, a hook, a snake, a spiral.

"Since I'm done decoratin' my room, I suppose we could start in here with the inking."

A smile is creeping on his face.

"Got new brushes to play with anyway."

"Well...I did a couple? But they're green! I get points for a new color, yes?"
